For the past four years, I have been researching the question "What is inner peace." Many of the themes that I have found claim that inner peace is being okay with how you relate to the world, being a best friend to yourself, and having self-acceptance.

Thanks for this article. It offers nice strategies to apply to live more authentically.

Hi, Mike,
Once again your "lesson" of the week has grabbed me right where I am in life. You asked how I can celebrate myself today. Here's how I celebrated myself today - I quit a job that I've only had for ten days. It was an environment in which employees are not acknowledged, appreciated, or encouraged. My co-workers have all lost their enthusiasm for their work, and have tucked away their ideas and creativity. I just can't do that. So today I celebrate the talents that God has given me and look forward to a positive environment in which to use them and make them grow!
