So often we do things we think we’re “supposed to do, instead of doing things that really work for us. This week I decided to practice this by speaking this article (and recording it on audio), as opposed to writing it. While I do love to write, I love to speak even more.
Here’s a link to this week’s “audio article,” entitled “Do What Works For You.” Click on this link to hear this week’s message (make sure your sound is on or you plug in your head phones to your computer). Enjoy!
To download this audio as an MP3 file, right click here and select “Save Target As” to begin download.
With Appreciation,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Thank you for sharing your wisdom in a new way. I enjoyed hearing the message. I have gotten plenty of ahas from your messages in the past and this one was no different. I find that doing your exercises in appreciation very helpful in bringing me back to gratitude whenever I uconciously slip out.
Thanks for sharing your audio message!

Thanks. I could listen and work on organizing my files at the same time - something I don’t mind doing because of how good I feel afterwards! I liked it because it was short and I could do something else at the same time.

Mike,
What I appreciate most about this week’s audio - aside from the personalization of hearing you speak it - are the following:
1. Being given permission to not “have” to do those things that we hate. I was brought up that we have to work hard for everything and you remind me that I have permission to live my life as I please
2. Ideas for doing things we dislike but are responsible for: adding music, for example.
I’d very much like to take a course with you re: authenticity…. perhaps a weekly or bi-weekly group who comes together to support each other in taking steps towards a more authentic life. If you are planning something like this, please include me. If you’re not yet planning this - please PLAN ONE!
Kindest blessings, Jenna

Hey Mike,
I always look forward to your featured article of the week and this week was extremely fun hearing your voice! I love the audio and was able to take a few notes, getting the assignment for the week, but I do like printing them out and sharing with my co-workers. (I only print one copy and hang it so people can read through them)
One quick comment…I noticed all the people who posted today are all female! Or at least, they are all female names. Very interesting!
This week’s feature gave me a larger scale picture about what I like to do and what I don’t really like to do. Changing a job for one that truly makes me happy and passionate for what I do is on the top of my list.
With my appreciation,
Stephanie
