What a beautiful message Mike!
It is very interesting that you are talking about this.
I was never taught the importance of self love and the profound impact it has in our lives. What I learned is that it was more important to love others rather than myself.
Even when for the last year I have been doing nothing else than loving myself, I never understood the real meaning, until my mentor pointed out! It was an eye-opening experience….
Thanks for sharing this with the world!
Much love,
Gaby

What I love about myself? I love helping people. I found a woman in a wheelchair and her daughter today in the rain holding a 3 mo old baby at our local hospital. I was rushing to my car too and really busy. But….I asked them if they needed help. They were soaking wet and could not find their car. I helped them back to the main desk and had a woman call security to find the car. When I got home and started feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work I had to do. I thought of them and my little random act of kindness. It made me feel better! I am trying to use your I am grateful notes to self each AM and PM! Thanks for that! I am grateful to NOT be in a wheelchair and help someone who is!

When I look in the mirror and am not pleased with the reflection, I change that thought to “not bad for a 53 year old” and instantly there’s a shift in how I feel about what I see.

I remember your comments opening session at The HON NSM and your words carry a great message. My mission is to engage in your message and make myself a better person in 2010.
Thanks for the inspiration.
