[…] Are You Choosing Unhappy Over Uncertain - Audio […]
August 12th, 2010 at 6:03 pm
Ouch, this makes me uncomfortable. I did not have that reaction when I read the book. While I believe that what we call “procrastination” is often just waiting for more information, it also seems to call up the emotion of “uncertain”. During my many years as a corporate consultant, I sometimes delayed a decision because the data just didn’t “feel right”. Often as not, something would turn around and the “problem” would evaporate. Was I uncertain? You bet. Was I unhappy? Not at all.
So, in business, I am solid with this. In my family, however, I get “had” because I am reluctant to rock things too much. Again. It seems my bold goals always turn out great for me, but they shake up family members and make relationships uncomfortable. It’s like I “owe” for that. And I think that is why I am “at home” right now instead of living in Europe. Time for honest meditation…

Mike,
Each week I really believe that you are talking directly to me. I read this title and thought “He read my mind again”. amazing and eye opening for me as I have some changes to be made and I was uncomfortable to talk about it….Thanks Mike and please keep up these wonderful messages
